As the world celebrates the men and the integral role they play in society, we have to pay homage to the male figures in Africa.


OC Osilliation

OC Osilliation is a recording artist and producer from Lusaka, Zambia. Born Siame O'Brien, in 1984, he is the current CEO of Obama Records and Entertainment and he has produced many records under that stable including singles.

Roberto Banda

Zambian singer Roberto was nicknamed Superstar by his late sister and he has indeed lived up to that name and not disappointed. For him, music is all about sharing positives messages and help build a community. Roberto said that the Zambian music industry can only thrive if artists work together.

Actor and successful businessman Maps Maponyane has graced many of the lists celebrating men. Nevermind his hot bod, and mesmerising looks, Maps is business-minded and has turned to entrepreneurship adding him on the list of the many black people to own a successful franchise in the country.

Pallance Dladla is one of Mzansi's greatest actors. He got famous through his appearance in 2011 on the SABC 1 reality competition television series Class Act

The biggest DJ in Africa Innocent Maphumulo is an award-winning music genius and record producer. He has achieved so much this year, he definitely deserves to be celebrated.

Siyabonga Thwala

Veteran actor Siyabonga Twala has earned his strides in the industry. He is one of the most successful and most recognized seasoned actors and very versatile at that.



Davido is an American-born Nigerian singer, songwriter, and recording producer. After his debut studio album, he was best known as Baddest and Omo baba Olowo' but, as time went people started settling for his stage name, Davido.

Burna Boy

Burna Boy is a versatile musician who has struck the globe with his musical genius and when he released Ye, he became everybody's favourite.

DJ Fresh is one of Botswana's most successful stars and his career has spun for more than 30 years in South Africa. He has successfully dabbled in radio and presenting while being a husband and a dad.

Oneal became an African superstar when he was a contestant on Big Brother Africa in 2013 and since his stint on the show, he has achieved many firsts for stars from Botswana.

King Tee Dee, who was formerly known as The Dogg, is Namibia’s most successful artist. He holds more awards than any other Namibian musician.


Gazza is one of the most loved African singers and Namibia’s most influential artist. he has won several awards and is the top-selling Namibian kwaito singer.

Sunny is one of the most successful celebs in Namibia and he has become a household name.

Luis Munana

Luis is a successful model, TV presenter and socialite. The former Big Brother Africa contestant made it on the 2019 Forbes Africa 30 under 30 list.


Shatta Wale

Shatta Wale is a Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artist. His best known song "Dancehall King", led him to win the Artiste of the Year at the 2014 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. Wale is also an actor.

At a young age the lyricist, Stonebwoy, decided to take on the entertainment industry and today Stonebwoy has made his mark with his reggae, Afrobeat vocals. Stonebwoy is a prominent figure in the reggae industry with talents that include script-writing.

Sauti Sol

Kenya’s superstar boy band, Sauti Sol is undoubtedly one of the most successful acts in the music industry at the moment.


Felix Odiwuor is famously known as Mzee Jalang'o, but many usually call him Jalang'o. He is a well-known comedian in Kenya and works as an emcee at big events through his eloquent delivery of jokes.


Genius 'Ginimbi' Kangungure

Genius Kadungure aka Ginimbi was a popular Zimbabwean socialite and businessman. He was also the founder and Chief Executive Officer of a gas company, Pioneer Gases which has interests in Botswana, South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Also known as Ninja President, Winky is a 36 year old award winning Zimbabwean musician. He is a reggae-dancehall artist with popular songs under his belt, like Rasta, Head Inna War, Musarove Bigman, Disappear, Ngirozi, Panorwadza Moyo, Kasong keJecha and Mugarden.

Jah Prayzah

Jah prayzah is a popular musician and the lead member in the contemporary Zimbabwean band Third Generation and is known by his fans as Musajo, which is Shona for “soldier” that he acquired through his signature military attire.
