Mutale Melissa Mwanza was born on the 22nd day of October 1987 in Kitwe, in the Copperbelt province.
Details about Mutale Mwanza’s siblings have not been revealed although going by her social media posts, the media personality has some sisters. Not much is also known about Mutale Mwanza’s parents except that her father passed on.
On April 28th, which would have been her father’s birthday had he been alive, Mutale took to Facebook to wish his father a happy heavenly birthday in a heartwarming post that touched her fans’ hearts who in turn poured in consoling messages for her.

Mutale Mwanza began her primary education in 1993 at Nkana Trust school until 1999.
She then joined St Jones Convent School for her secondary education but transferred after the first term to Ibenga Girls Secondary School where she completed her secondary education in 2004.
After clearing her secondary education, Mutale Mwanza joined Zamtel college for higher education and in 2006, she graduated with a Diploma in Business Administration. She also received her diploma in journalism from Mindolo Ecumenical Foundation (MEF) in 2009.

Mutale Mwanza officially launched her career in the media industry in 2007 when she got a job as a co-host for a popular breakfast show on Flava FM. Her gig on Flava FM lasted for five years after which bigger opportunities opened for her.
After her departure from Flava FM, Mutale Mwanza moved to South Africa in search of greener pastures, and in 2013 she officially became the first Zambian woman to create, co-produce, and present her first show. The lifestyle and entertainment show was called Kumwesu and it was aired on DSTV Africa Magic.
Mutale Mwanza later landed a job on one of the biggest radio stations in the country- Hot FM, where she hosted the Red Hot Breakfast Show.
In February 2021, Mutale Mwanza’s career on Hot FM abruptly came to an end when her contract was terminated for perceived cyberbullying which violated the company’s policies and brands.
Besides her work on radio and TV, Mutale Mwanza has also worked as a voice artist for big brands like Samsung for which she got signed as the voice of their app called The Kleek in 2013.

Since 2021, Mutale Mwanza has been hosting her own show called the Mutale Mwanza Show which she broadcasts on her social media pages. She has amassed a multitude of followers on social media whom she refers to as her M-Nation.
Along with her own show, Mutale Mwanza also currently co-hosts a one-hour talk show called Tuvwange Lifestyle on Zambezi Magic.

Her presence in the media and her legion of fans make Mutale Mwanza the ambassador for a lot of brands and she is one of the most sought-after ambassadors by popular brands.
In 2018, Mutale was appointed as the ambassador for the Keep Zambia Clean, Green, and Healthy campaign by the then-minister of local government. The following year in September, she was named goodwill ambassador for Operation Ubusaka.
In 2020, Mutale worked with Lifebuoy in the campaign against COVID-19 where she urged her fans to wash their hands as a way of curbing the spread of the deadly virus. In the same year, she also partnered with Plan International to advocate for girls’ rights.
Other brands that Mutale has worked with include 1X-Bet, L’amour- Skin by Agatha, and Bio Oil.
Mutale Mwanza’s romantic relationships

In 2007, the then 20-year-old Mutale Mwanza got married to a man that she only identifies as KM2. In the same year, Mutale gave birth to her first and only son Mwape.
The circumstances under which Mutale and her ex-husband broke up have not been revealed, although the media personality disclosed that she and her ex-husband are on good terms and they are co-parents to their son. She also revealed that her ex-husband is remarried and that she is good friends with his wife.
